Work as research assistant to Physiology Lab Director. Responsible for data analysis and interpretation on research project. Other responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of Physiological Assessment Laboratory, including, but not limited to fitness, nutrition, and body composition assessments and counseling of students, faculty/staff, and community clients. Another responsibility includes teaching American Red Cross Standard First Aid with AED, and CPR/AED courses to students, faculty and staff.

Wellness Health Educator
Worked as a member of the Health Promotion Office team. Responsible for developing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating Wellness services and programs. Services included coordination of the Nutrition Mission program, supervising the Health Stop Resource Center, and Wellness education programs. Worked with the other health educators to facilitate a campus-wide student wellness program.

HPR 309. Physiological Assessment Testing. Majors only course. Covers theory and application of assessment testing, including body composition , blood pressure, sub-maximal and maximal stress testing, metabolic testing, and ekg interpretation.
HPR 240. Principles and Applications of Fitness Testing. Majors only course. Covers principles and applications of fitness testing, nutrition assessment, and special population considerations.
HPR 113-Lecture. Personal Fitness. Covers aspects of health and fitness, including fitness assessment, body composition, weight control, nutrition, nutritional assessment, cardiovascular disease, stress, and stress management.
HPR 180-First Aid. Lecture and application of first aid and CPR.
The New Direction Center for Weight Management, Bloomington, IL. Dual role responsibilities. Nursing tasks included monitoring of laboratory results, blood pressure, weight loss, and blood draws. Patient Education included exercise consulting.
BroMenn Health Care, Normal, IL
Intensive/Critical Care. Responsibilities included all aspects of care required for the critically ill patient.
Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation/Cardiology. Responsibilities included patient education regarding cardiovascular disease and prevention-specifically, nutrition, exercise, stress, and pathophysiology. Also, performed stress testing, exercise prescription, and monitoring of patient during exercise session (heart rate, blood pressure, electrocardiogram, etc.). Also coordinated and supervised Illinois State University student interns in the department.

Sister Cities Association-Medical Delegation to Vladimir, Russia- Fall 1995. Series of lectures presented to Russian physicians and nurses in Vladimir, Russia pertaining to “The Non-surgical Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease.” Lecture topics presented included exercise research, exercise recommendations, and nutrition recommendations.
