Illinois Association of Family and Consumer  Sciences


    The Illinois Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (IAFCS) was founded in 1921 as a state affiliate of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) which had been founded in 1909.  IAFCS is a non-profit professional organization whose purpose is to improve the quality of individual and family life. 

    The AAFCS is the only national organization representing family and consumer sciences professionals across practice areas and content specializations.
